Taking Action in times of Covid-19 and Racism

In the wake of COVID-19 and our nation’s persistent virus of racism, how can we help the Newton community to take steps toward addressing — and preventing — racist attacks?

Please join us on Wednesday, June 10th from 7:30 – 8:30 as we hold a round table discussion with Newton community leaders, including NPS school principals and METCO directors.

— What lessons have we learned from recent racist incidents in our schools/community? — What mechanisms are in place to hear from students of color? — What infrastructure do schools have and could improve upon in order to be responsive to all students?

We’ll offer optional small-group breakout discussions at 8:30 PM
