90 Lincoln St

Newton Highlands, MA

The Newton Juneteenth Celebration, returns to the Hyde Community Center on Monday, June 19, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This Celebration marks the national holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Americans and invites all residents and visitors to come together to honor and celebrate African-American heritage and culture through food, music, dance, and story-telling. The Newton Juneteenth Celebration is brought in partnership by FORJ, Newton North FORJ, the Newton Coalition of Black Residents, the Newton Indigenous Peoples Day Committee, CAN-DO, Newton Youth Success Collaborative, the Harmony Foundation, Myrtle Baptist Church, Newton Upstanders, and the Newton Human Rights Commission.

This event is made possible by generous contributions from the Harmony Foundation and the Village Bank.
